Capacitive Sensing Principle:
The system turns the cutting zone into a live electrical circuit. The copper laser nozzle acts as one plate of a capacitor, and the grounded metal sheet acts as the second plate. The air gap between them serves as the dielectric insulator.
Real-Time Z-Axis Control:
As the nozzle moves over an uneven surface, the air gap changes, which instantly alters the electrical capacitance. The sensor reads these micro-fluctuations and commands the Z-axis servo motor to move the head up or down in milliseconds.
Focal Point Consistency:
By locking the physical distance (usually between 0.5mm and 1.5mm), the sensor ensures the laser beam's focal point remains exactly where it needs to be—either on the surface or buried at a specific depth inside the metal.
Collision Avoidance:
If a previously cut piece of metal tips upward, the sensor detects a sudden, massive spike in capacitance as the nozzle approaches it. It triggers an immediate emergency retract and stops the machine to prevent the expensive optical head from crashing.

Under normal circumstances, all products covered in this booklet have a shelf life of one year from the day they are delivered to the customer, and the warranty time is calculated as if the product were not opened in its packaging. After opening the package and using it, it is not covered by the warranty period, except for the laser cutting head.
